What is included with my purchase?
Every Halo II purchase includes a brand new, factory-sealed machine, full ATM processing setup through all major networks (Visa, Mastercard, Plus, Star, etc.), free nationwide shipping, and a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Factory programming is an optional add-on — if you skip it, one of our technicians will walk you through setup over the phone at no charge.
Do I need to use FFI for processing?
No — you're free to use any processor you choose. However, if you process with a company other than Ford Frontier Investments, a $500 outside processor fee applies at the time of purchase. If you use FFI processing, there is no fee and we handle the full setup for you. Most customers find our processing rates competitive enough that there's no reason to go elsewhere — call us at (404) 747-3899 to discuss rates.
What cassette size should I choose?
It depends on your expected transaction volume. A 1K cassette holds 1,000 notes ($20s) — that's $20,000 in capacity, which is plenty for most small-to-medium locations. A 2K cassette doubles that to $40,000, which is ideal for busy bars, convenience stores, or event venues. Dual cassettes allow you to load two denominations or simply extend your cash capacity even further, reducing how often you need to refill. If you're unsure, start with 1K — you can always upgrade the cassette later.
How does factory programming work?
Factory programming means your ATM leaves the manufacturer already configured with your surcharge amount, processing credentials, and network settings. The machine arrives plug-and-play — load cash, plug it in, and it's ready to go. If you don't select factory programming, that's fine too. One of our technicians will schedule a phone call and walk you through the programming process step by step. It typically takes 30–60 minutes and is included at no extra charge.
What is NFC / contactless, and do I need it?
NFC (Near Field Communication) allows customers to pay by tapping their phone or contactless card instead of inserting their chip. This includes Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and tap-enabled debit cards. It's not required — your ATM will work perfectly without it — but adding NFC future-proofs your machine and can increase transaction volume at high-traffic locations where customers expect tap-to-pay.
How does the ordering process work?
Configure your Halo II using the options above, add it to your cart, then fill out your contact and shipping info at checkout. No payment is collected online — we'll contact you within 24 hours to confirm your order, collect payment via ACH or credit card, and send you the processing paperwork to get your machine set up. Once payment and paperwork are complete, your ATM ships directly from the factory.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping is free nationwide. Typical delivery time is 5–10 business days after your order is confirmed and paperwork is complete. We'll provide tracking once your machine ships. If you have a specific deadline — such as a grand opening or event — let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.
What surcharge should I set?
Most retail ATMs charge between $2.50 and $3.50 per transaction. The right amount depends on your location type — bars and nightclubs typically support higher surcharges ($3.00–$3.50), while convenience stores and gas stations usually do best around $2.50–$3.00. We'll help you set the right surcharge for your specific location when we handle your processing setup.
